Waste management service centre for municipalities
How can we avoid waste, conserve resources and at the same time ensure the quality of life in our municipalities? Together with the municipalities of Salzburg, we are committed to making waste management simpler, more sustainable and more future-orientated. As the contact point in the SIR, we see ourselves as a partner that supports Salzburg’s municipalities with in-depth knowledge, pragmatic solutions and a strong network. Our aim is to turn the challenges of today into opportunities for tomorrow – for waste management that makes ecological sense and is economically viable.
Our mission
Every municipality has its own challenges and strengths – our coordination centre helps you to find tailored solutions. With a flexible and resource-conserving approach, we want to develop Salzburg’s waste management system step by step.
Our support services
Support in the implementation of the law:
We provide samples, guidelines and templates to help you comply with and implement legal requirements. You can find these documents in the download area further down on this page.
Interface between the province of Salzburg and the municipalities:
We act as a link between the province of Salzburg and the municipalities to facilitate regular dialogue on relevant topics.
Counselling and further training:
We organise training courses and webinars to provide municipalities and recycling centres with technical support and to expand their knowledge of waste management. You can find our current events in the ‘Events’ section further down on this page.
Requirements analysis:
In dialogue with the municipalities, we analyse their specific requirements in order to respond to recurring challenges in a targeted manner, efficiently bundle solutions and offer practical support.
Networking and knowledge exchange:
Our aim is to promote exchange between municipalities and dialogue across municipalities. Through regular meetings and the establishment of networks, we want to help develop joint solutions and create synergies.
